Are you SURE that you have your place booked in Heaven?
Read this if you're not!
You can always email us at Grove
here for help and advice.
Would you have a spare Bible you could send to someone who would cherish it?
Our good friend Pastor Godstime from "Spread the Word Ministries" in Nigeria will
ensure that it is put into the very hands that need the Word of God.
If you can spare a Bible (and a few pounds in postage), please send your Bible to :-

Grove Church
Our Holiday Bible Club ran this year from Mon 13th to Fri 17th August.
We had the usual mix of Bible stories, singing and quizes.
Our Sunday School teachers and helpers looked after over 40 kids each night during this week.
Many thanks to all who put in a lot of hard work to make everything go so
well.
If you have a child who would be interested in attending our Sunday School (starting up again in September) just email us
here for more info.
We were hoping to have started broadcasting our church services live via radio by now.
unfortunately our installation expert ended up in hospital - get well soon Raymond!
When we start, there will be a trial period first and then we hope to start offering it to all our shut-ins.
So if you see an aerial at the front apex of the church, you will know why!
We are keen to make our services
available, via radio, to all our nearby 'shut-ins' who were previously so faithful to Grove.
Our Family Day was on Saturday 26th May when we had around 40 kids at church and in our
new Shaw Hall. Many thanks to all who put in a lot of hard work to make everything go so
well. The kids seemed to really enjoy the activities that were provided. There was also a meal for everyone on Sunday.
Again, this seemed to go down very well too.
Haven't been to Grove yet? Why not come along and pay us a visit.
You will alwaysbe made most welcome at our 11:30am Morning Service and 6:30pm Evening Service.
Pastor Dormido in the Philippines has sent his thanks to the folk in Grove who
generously donated to help fund the land purchase for a new church. We recently received a formal
letter from the church in recognition of our gift.
Pastor Godstime in Nigeria sends his thanks for the gift sent towards establishing "Grove Baptist Church,
Ayen" in Nigeria. Pastor Godstime's "Spread the Word Ministries" is planting a church in Ayen, which will
be the first evangelical church in this village. The land was purchased and initial building work has now
commenced. Ayen is close to Benin City, Edo State. Hymn books were also sent for when the first
meeting will commence.
"Cafe Grove" in Clara Street (beside the church) unfortunately has had to close.
God willing, Cafe Grove will return some day. It will certainly be missed until then.
Have a look
here for a photo of some of the school children around Benin City
in Nigeria receiving Childrens Tracts. A couple of thousand of these excellent CEF tracts
were sent out by a member in Grove. Tract distribution is only a small part of the excellent
work carried out by "Spread the Word Ministries" in this area of West Africa.
The Grove church sent out a further 2000 of these tracts in June '04.
Our Mission 2003 ended on 23rd March.

The Video of both our Family Fellowship Service and a week in the life of Grove
was distributed to all homes connected with the church.
Over 300 videos were distributed.

Please email
here if you would be interested in receiving a video tape by post. Our video
(in 'PAL' format for UK) can be posted to you anywhere in the UK and Eire.
Our video is still being requested by Pastors and Evangelists
in Nigeria. We have sent these out to Edo State and to Kwara State. Even though it
was filmed in November 1999 for the up-coming Millennium, the gospel message in that
tape is still being used of the Lord today.

We are thankful to "Every Home Crusade", here in Belfast, who sent Gospels
of John and gospel tracts out for Pastor Godstime in Benin City, Nigeria. We have been
sending Pastor Godstime tapes and booklets for a couple of years now and he has been very
busy with the 'Benin City for Christ' gospel crusade which took place in the middle of
October.
Pastor Godstime produced a newspaper which was
printed in its thousands and given out free of charge at the Crusade. This outreach magazine
featured some sermons and 'thoughts for the month' from our website.
For more information on the 'Benin City for Christ' gospel crusade
in Nigeria, just click here.
Pastor Godstime has sent his thanks for the literature sent out and
reports that the Crusade was a success in seeing souls saved and the local Christians
encouraged.

From contacts through our website, we have now sent well over 15,000 'smiley Bible' gospel tracts
to churches in Nigeria and the Philippines. We have also been able to send teaching materials
and videos (as well as our church audio tapes) to Nigeria.
- For an outline of the Shepherd's Psalm,

- Our Tape Ministry received a further boost when we were asked to send
teaching and gospel tapes to Nigeria. This came after the request for
gospel tapes for Iran. In fact, the feedback from Nigeria has been very encouraging.
We were also able to send some tapes to brothers in India and the Philippines. Please pray
with us that Pastor Wilson's audio tapes will continue to be used both overseas and around
our own area, to bring the lost to Christ.
- Read our report of Radio Grove 2
here from late last year. It summarises our radio week-end and contains a couple of
photos.
Our 'Thought for the Month' area, which started in March 2001, can be
accessed here. It is updated each and every month.
We would appreciate any feedback (good or bad) you may have.
- Are we really in the last days ?
Go here to read an excellent article on the 'soon coming
climax', as foretold in the Bible.
- We would love to hear some feedback from those of you who take time to visit our website.
Some time ago, our former Pastor, Pastor Wilson received a lovely report from a Baptist Pastor
in Ohio, USA.
The American pastor had seen the text, “Sir, we would see Jesus”, on our pulpit via our
photograph page. He preached a sermon based on this text and a lady was saved at that meeting.
Many others have been in contact via email to thank us for the on-line sermons, our
‘Thought for the Month’ section, the on-line Grove Updates and for help given via email.
Some have visited the church after visiting us ‘on-line’. We do not know if anyone else has
been saved directly from the messages on the website, but the gospel is clearly presented and
we look to God, as always, for the increase. We know we are visited from literally all over
the world and one of the last free gospel tapes was sent all the way to Zimbabwe.
- There are now over 280 sermons in our ‘Sermons from Ulster’ section.
There are sermons from seven Baptist Pastors. We believe this is the largest selection of
on-line sermons from Northern Ireland and can be accessed here.
Gospel audio tape still available here.
We still have tapes available to send out to you anywhere in the world.
The tapes have gone out to India, South Africa, the Philippines, Iran, Zimbabwe, Australia,
Nigeria and closer to home too.
- For available Sermon Tapes by our former Pastor, Ian Wilson, please visit our
Tape Ministry page.
We deliver over 60 audio tapes of the Sunday services around the area each Monday night.
Please let us know if you know of a 'shut-in', local to the church, who would appreciate the
tapes. We were thrilled and encouraged in January last year to hear of the salvation of
another local lady from listening to the church services on tape.
In January 2002 we were again praising the Lord for saving a third local lady
who had been receiving our tapes.
