"The Darkness reigns supreme"
Do you want some information on the BRIT awards? Here is an extract from the official website of the BRIT awards. "BRIT is an acronym for British Record Industry Trust. All proceeds from the BRIT Awards go to this trust, which is usually referred to as the BRIT Trust. The BRIT Trust helps to fund, amongst other things, the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon. As BRIT is an acronym, not a word, it should written in uppercase."
I have to confess my total non-interest in the BRIT awards. One of the things that caught my attention, however, was a man running around in a suit, which was open at the front down to his navel and as well as that, he had a fluffy tail on the back of it. Some may have found that fashionable, I thought it was laughable. How foolish and stupid he looked.
I have since discovered that he was the lead vocalist with a rock group called "The Darkness." I tried in vain to discover how they picked such an occultist sounding name. Their official website only mentions the "The Darkness" being born but there is no hint as to the source of inspiration for their name.
Another factor that caught my attention about the BRIT awards was the headlines, which followed the show. I read one, which said, "The Darkness Reigns Supreme", recognising the fact that this rock group picked up three awards on the night.
Think about the headline again, "The Darkness Reigns Supreme." That is correct as far as society goes. We live in a dark world and there is no doubt it's getting darker, spiritually speaking. Let me remind you of what the apostle Paul said.
[2 Cor. 4:4 ] "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
The god of this world is Satan and Paul reveals to us that Satan seeks to keep men and women in spiritual darkness.
John said: [1 John 5:19] "And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness."
Are you following the light of the world? Or are you still in darkness?
Let me leave you with Paul's words, which summarise what Christ had done for him, and Christ is still able to do for you.
[Col. 1:13] "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"
